ThinkAnalytics casts a wider net for cloud-based recommendations
Search and recommendation vendor ThinkAnaytics announced this morning that it had expanded the capabilities of its hosted ThinkCloud platform for programmers and service providers.
ThinkCloud is a turnkey, software-as-a-service (SaaS) component that allows service providers to offload IT resources and use a “pay as you grow” business model. ThinkAnalytics said that it also enabled quicker launches of personalized applications as well as faster deployments of its search and recommendation engine.
ThinkCloud comes equipped with out-of-the-box recommendations algorithms, business rules and real-time feedback loops that allow customers to quickly measure and tune their applications. ThinkCloud is pre-integrated with ThinkTV, ThinkSports, ThinkMovies metadata libraries, and metadata provider partners.
ThinkCloud has been deployed with three unnamed European service providers. ThinkAnalytics’ platform is available as a cloud-based, on-premise or hosted solution.

ThinkAnalytics’ customers include Cox Communications, Fox, Liberty Global, BSkyB, Swisscom, Unitymedia in Germany, Zon in Portugal, and Nordic operator Canal Digital.
