Time Warner Cable Business Class launches D3 across Maine, N.H.
After rolling out DOCSIS 3.0 tiers for residential customers last month in Maine and New Hampshire, Time Warner Cable is now offering its Wideband Internet to businesses in the same areas.
Time Warner Cable Business Class’ Wideband Internet has speeds of up to 50 Mbps on the downstream and 5 Mbps upstream, which is a good fit for most small- and medium-size businesses.
“Wideband Internet from Time Warner Cable Business Class will change the way businesses use the Internet,” said Maureen Link, regional vice president of marketing for Time Warner Cable Business Class’ East Region. “The faster speeds will increase employees’ productivity by giving them more speed and lag-free multitasking so they can get more out of their time online. We continue to invest in our network to boost speeds and deliver more value for our customers.”
Near the end of last month, Time Warner Cable launched two DOCSIS 3.0 tiers in New Hampshire and Maine – Extreme Internet with downstream speeds of up to 30 Mbps downstream and 5 Mbps upstream and Ultimate Internet (50/5) – as well as free speed upgrades for other tiers.
In the recently completed first quarter, Time Warner Cable added a record number – 73,000 – of DOCSIS 3.0 subscribers to bring its wideband total to 218,000 residential customers. Time Warner Cable has DOCSIS 3.0 available to 85 percent of its footprint, with the goal of having it largely rolled out by the end of this year.
