Fandango's former CEO joins Invidi's advisory board
Invidi Technologies has invited Chuck Davis, best known as the former chairman and CEO of movie site Fandango, to serve on the company's advisory board.
Invidi specializes in addressable media systems.
"There are very few people like Chuck, with his depth and breadth of experience in the digital marketing and media industries," said Invidi CEO Dave Downey. "We're very fortunate to have him on our advisory board and anticipate his presence and impact will be felt immediately."
Comcast purchased Fandango in 2007. Following the acquisition, Davis remained as an executive vice president of Comcast Interactive Media.
Previously, Davis was president and CEO of Shopzilla through its $569 million acquisition by E.W. Scripps, and he served as president of e-commerce for The Walt Disney Co.'s Internet Group, where he launched Disneystore.com. He also has held management positions at News Corp. and Time Inc.
Davis also currently serves on the boards of Boingo Wireless and Shop.org, the electronic retailing division of the National Retail Federation.
Other members of Invidi's advisory board are Rino Scanzoni, chairman of WPP's Mediaedge:cia North America and chief investment officer for GroupM North America; Tracey Scheppach, senior vice president and video innovation director at Starcom USA, who leads the addressable advertising practice for Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) clients; longtime Time Warner Cable veteran and current NBC Local Media New York vice president of business development and strategy Allen N. Blum; chairman emeritus of J. Walter Thompson Worldwide Burt Manning; and Invidi executive vice president and advisory board chair Michael Kubin, a 30-year veteran of the advertising industry.
