Knology promotes Ard to VP of sales, marketing
Knology announced this morning that Royce Ard was named as the company's new vice president of sales and marketing.
In his new job, Ard oversees consumer and commercial sales, marketing communications, and product management.
He previously served as general manager for the Knology of Columbus, Ga., division for 12 years, during which time he and his team more than quadrupled the market's revenue. In his new role as vice president of sales and marketing, Ard will operate out of Knology's West Point, Ga., corporate headquarters.
"Royce has been a significant contributor within our company for over a decade, and throughout his tenure with the company, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to develop innovative sales and marketing initiatives, which have been integral to the success achieved in our Columbus division," said Knology President Todd Holt. "We are excited to have Royce in this new role and believe his experience and skills will facilitate the continued, healthy growth of our business."
Ard's resume includes more than 23 years of sales, marketing and operations experience in high-tech industries. Before joining Knology of Columbus as general manager in 1999, he held previous positions as manager for The UniLink Group, director of sales and marketing for Communications Central, and president of ECOM America - all in the Atlanta area.
