O'Donnell returns to the Charter fold; Washa's role expands
Sean O'Donnell has rejoined Charter Communications as the cable operator's vice president and general manager in Missouri and Illinois, where he will oversee day-to-day operations in those states.
O'Donnell had a past stint as a member of Charter's corporate team in its St. Louis headquarters from 2001 to 2005. During that time, his titles included vice president of information technology and vice president of operations.
Prior to his return to Charter, O'Donnell was senior vice president of regional operations for Bresnan Communications in Billings, Mont., before Cablevision bought Bresnan .
"I'm thrilled to be back in St. Louis, my hometown," O'Donnell said. "One of the many things that attracted me to this position is the company's heightened focus on the customer. I'm passionate about delivering a quality experience and exceeding customer expectations. I believe Charter is on the right path for providing even greater customer service and delivering next-generation services, and I'm excited to be part of that new spirit."
Charter has embarked on a new company-wide plan for improving customer service  for its subscribers.
O'Donnell will lead a team of more than 2,000 employees and service partners in more than 300 communities, including the St. Louis metro area.
"Sean has more than 13 years of industry experience and has led teams that have made dramatic improvements in customer service," said Lisa Washa, Charter's regional vice president for the Midwest. "He is an effective team leader with a proven ability to focus on the customer and deliver a great experience, and that's what our mission is here at Charter."
Charter also announced today that Washa's responsibilities have expanded to include oversight of Charter's operations throughout the Midwest, which includes Missouri and Illinois, as well as Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin. With more than 25 years of experience in the communications industry, in her new role, Washa will lead a team of more than 2,700 Charter employees throughout 1,100 communities in five states.
