Two Texas towns get TiVo from Suddenlink
As announced last summer, Suddenlink has begun to distribute TiVo Premiere DVRs . The first two markets to get them are Lubbock and Midland, Tex.
Suddenlink customers will be able to access content from Suddenlink's video-on-demand library and the Web, all accessible through TiVo's search and discovery features.
Suddenlink Chairman and CEO Jerry Kent reiterated that the company's plan was to introduce the service in a few markets in 2010 and then expand availability in other markets in 2011.
In addition to multi-room PVR functionality and access to on-demand and online content, the new service will allow customers to access Facebook and Twitter on their TVs.
