Bright House launches Look Back in Fla.; multi-room DVR next
Near the end of last month, Bright House Networks rolled out its Look Back service in its central Florida and Tampa Bay systems.
Also on the new services front, Bright House Network plans on offering a multi-room DVR service "soon."
Look Back lets Bright House Networks' digital customers access a program three days after it originally airs. Bright House works closely with Time Warner Cable on new services and features. Time Warner Cable pioneered Look Back and Start Over, which allows subscribers to go to the beginning of a show if they missed the start, through its Mystro program.
Look Back works with both DVR and non-DVR converters and requires no additional equipment. The programming is available in both SD and HD formats, and there's no additional charge for using Look Back.
Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks have worked with networks to gain access to programming for Look Back and Start Over.
Look Back first launched on ABC, Bright House Sports Networks and The Learning Channel, with additional channels, including A&E, Discovery, Animal Planet, Food Network, History Channel, Syfy, NBC and USA, being added in the coming weeks.
"Bright House Networks is committed to providing products that bring convenience to our customers," said Mike Robertson, president of Bright House Networks' Tampa Bay Division. "Today's television consumers want to watch what they want, when they want it, and features like our new Look Back service make everyone's favorite entertainment – sports, dancing, comedy or drama – available at the whole family's fingertips and ensures that everyone catches all of the action."
