Cable Center adds Bowser, Carlsen, Lind to board
The Cable Center announced today that Cox Communications’ Mark Bowser; Ann Carlsen, founder and CEO of Carlsen Resources; and Rogers Communications’ Philip Lind were recently elected to three-year terms on its board of directors.

"Their extensive industry knowledge and experience will be a real asset to us as we continue to move forward with our programs and initiatives that serve both the cable industry and the academic community."
As executive vice president and CFO of Cox, Bowser oversees accounting, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, programming, legal, regulatory and government affairs. He has been a board member for the Starlight Foundation and Ronald McDonald House charities, and he is a member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.
Carlsen founded Carlsen Resources in 1989, and The Cable Center said the firm has since become the gold standard among boutique firms providing executive search and consulting services in the cable, media and telecommunications arena. Carlsen has served on The Cable Center's Development Committee for two years and was also involved at the inception of The Cable Center, serving on several of the start-up committees in its first two years.
She is a past president of the Women in Cable Telecommunications organization, she has participated on the national committees of CTAM and the National Cable & Telecommunications Association's convention planning committee, and she has served as a key member on the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) board for almost 10 years.
Lind has been with Rogers for 40 years and primarily focuses on strategic regulatory and programming and on expanding the scope of the company. He serves on numerous boards, including those of Rogers, Brookfield Asset Management, Art Gallery of Ontario, Council for the Business and the Arts, Friends of Vancouver Art Gallery, the Atlantic Salmon Federation and the Central Canadian Public Television Association.
Lind has served on the board of the NCTA, the only Canadian to be so elected, and is a former chairman of the Canadian Cable Television Association.
