Comcast honing in on NBC Universal

Comcast could wrap its deal for controlling interest in NBC Universal as early as next week, according to a report in The New York Times .
Comcast is expected to pay somewhere between $4 billion and $6 billion, plus a program channel or two, for a 51 percent stake in the media company, which is currently owned by GE and Vivendi.
Vivendi would end up selling its entire 20 percent interest. NBC Universal may toss in up to $12 billion in debt, according to the report.
