• Senate rounds out FCC board
By Brian Santo
The five-member board of commissioners of the FCC board is now rounded out, now that the full Senate has voted to confirm Democrat Mignon Clyburn and Republican Meredith Attwell Baker.
Clyburn has been a public utilities regulator in South Carolina. Baker was head of the NTIA.
At the same time, the Senate confirmed former FCC commissioner Jonathan Adelstein as the new head of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service (RUS), where he’ll be collaborating with the FCC on broadband policy and programs.
