Cox locks in contract pricing in Phoenix area

Mike Robuck

Cox Communications recently started offering subscribers in its Phoenix footprint a 12-month contract price for its lowest tier of bundled services.

The $49.99-per-month contract price includes residential video, data and phone services.

Cable operators have been locking in prices with their subscribers as a way to keep them from migrating over to other service providers, but the contract prices are taking on added importance during the current economic downturn.

According to a story by the Phoenix Business Journal, Cox subscribers in the area were requesting the ability to lock in prices (story here [1]).
