Itaas broadens support for TWC’s application developers
Itaas announced today that it has broadened the scope of its relationship with Time Warner Cable for the development of new interactive applications.
In the new, broader relationship with Time Warner Cable, itaas will manage the licensing, installation and upgrades for the Mystro Application Server (MAS) software, as well as offer software development kits (SDKs) for Time Warner Cable’s Mystro Digital Navigator (MDN) and OCAP Digital Navigator (ODN) platforms.
Developers seeking to launch applications for deployment in Time Warner Cable systems can now access the MAS software support through the itaas istart Developer Program. The istart program, which is in its sixth year, offers tools and support for deployment on all interactive platforms, including enhanced television (ETV) and tru2way.
With the Time Warner Cable Mystro Application Server software support, the istart Developer Program now offers a total of six programs, including SDKs for Time Warner Cable's MDN and ODN platforms, Cisco’s SARA/PowerTV and OCAP Axiom, as well as the TVWorks ETV platform.
“While we have supported the Mystro Application Server install and upgrades for our development partners in the past, we are looking forward to having itaas assume this role moving forward. We are confident in their ability to support application development on the Time Warner Cable platform,” said Sherisse Hawkins, vice president of software engineering for Time Warner Cable.
