Hilton Head Island, S.C.-based Hargray Communications has picked customer premise equipment from Entone for deployment in its IPTV services.
Hargray will be using Entone’s family of IPTV customer premise equipment, which includes DVR capabilities, to provide triple-play services to its subscribers based in the Southeastern part of the nation.
Entone’s Connected Home Solutions focuses on enabling IPTV and broadband TV services throughout homes that have a variety of network and TV configurations without requiring new home wiring. The company’s Amulet HD IPTV receiver supports various home networking technologies such as HomePNA, HomePlug, and 802.11.
Entone’s Amulet also supports advanced MPEG-4 (AVC/H.264) encoding and decoding to help deliver HD video feeds. It also has an internal hard drive option with full DVR functionalities such as fast forward, rewind and pause.
