Amazon subsidiary serves up free online video content
The Internet Movie Database (IMDb), a subsidiary of Amazon, announced yesterday that users can now watch more than 6,000 full-length feature films and TV episodes for free on IMDb.com.
The free content includes TV shows such as “24,” “Big Brother” and “CSI,” as well as older shows such as “Charlie’s Angels” and “Bewitched.”
Viewers can also watch classic films, including “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Raising Arizona,” as well as the first episodes of new and returning TV shows this fall, such as “Knight Rider” and “30 Rock.”
IMDb said the rotating video content is provided by CBS, Hulu, Sony Pictures Television and more than 500 independent filmmakers.
