• Exfo launches VDSL2 triple-play test set with Broadcom’s PhyR technology
By Traci Patterson
Exfo Electro-Optical Engineering has released its AXS-200/630 VDSL2 Triple-Play Test Set for the installation and troubleshooting of VDSL2 network deployments and 10/100 Mbps Ethernet-based triple-play services.
The AXS-200/630 supports ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+ and VDSL2. It also utilizes Broadcom’s customer premises equipment (CPE) multimode VDSL2 chipset, featuring Broadcom PhyR retransmission technology. PhyR impulse protection capability enables telecom operators to increase ADSL2+ and VDSL2 rates and reach.
The AXS-200/630 multimode VDSL2 triple-play test module has been specifically designed for assessing the quality of service (QoS) of VoIP and IPTV services. The solution provides the right combination of DSL and Ethernet interfaces, which enables testing in any residential triple-play environment.
