Cable group has won over $1.5 billion in wireless licenses
SpectrumCo, the consortium of Comcast , Time Warner , Sprint Nextel , Cox  Communications , and Bright House Networks , is the third largest bidder in the FCC's spectrum auction so far, with $1.57 billion in winning bids on 90 licenses, according to the AP.
Verizon Wireless  and T-Mobile USA  are the top two bidders. The auction has raised nearly $12 billion so far.
T-Mobile held the winning bid of more than $3.74 billion on 117 licenses.
Verizon Wireless was second with about $2.8 billion for four licenses. Cingular has the winning bids on 41 licenses valued at about $681.7 million.
