Verizon wholesalers bundle up with DirecTV
Verizon has cut a deal with DirecTV that will enable the telco's wholesale customers to sell a bundle of voice, DSL and DirecTV services at what Verizon is characterizing as a competitive price versus cable.
The bundling agreement doesn't kick in until July. Wholesalers must buy Verizon's Wholesale Advantage voice services to qualify for the package discount.
The deal apparently supplements the arrangement the two had for Verizon to resell DirecTV. That relationship was apparently strained by Verizon's decision to start providing video services on its own FiOS network.
Terms of the agreement between Verizon and DirecTV were not disclosed.
