Targeted to residential and business customers outside the reach of high-speed cable and DSL lines, WildBlue's 512 kbps/128 kbps "Select Pak" runs $49.95 per month. On the high end, its 1.5 Mbps/256 kbps "Pro Pak" sells for $79.95 per month. Equipment, which includes a dish and modem, costs another $299 upfront.
WildBlue launched services last summer.
Among other marketing tactics aimed to bring on new subs, WildBlue is gearing up to deliver service via members of the New Hampshire Electric Co-op (NHEC). According to a Web site promo , the offering is being made available via WildBlue's ties with the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative . NHEC noted that it will start WildBlue trials "in the coming months."
