SCTE issues paper chase

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers is seeking technical paper proposals for the 2005 Cable-Tec Expo, slated for June 14–17 in San Antonio.

Any topic will be considered, but the following subjects will be given priority: wireless technology-access and networking, preventive maintenance-best practices, IP implementations, making the triple play competitive for small systems, VoIP and PacketCable, network security, bandwidth management, home networking, and digital networks.

The Society has set a submission deadline of Friday, Jan. 21. Interested parties are directed to submit one-to-two-page proposals of no more than 600 words with a topic heading, paper title, author name, company, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and e-mail address. Proposals are to be sent via e-mail to expo_info@scte.org [1]. Selected papers will be announced by Friday, Feb. 18, 2005.
