Charter to shed Washington system
Charter Communications has reached a deal to sell its Port Orchard, Wash. system to WaveDivision Holdings LLC for $91 million.
The system serves about 25,500 analog video subs, 12,900 digital video customers and 11,000 high-speed data subs.
Charter said the deal, expected to close by year-end, follows stated plans to shed properties "deemed geographically non-strategic." Daniels & Associates represented Charter in the deal.
Kirkland, Wash.-based WaveDivision offers cable services to about 27,000 customers in the western portion of the state. Formed last year, WaveDivision's plan is to acquire cable systems near major markets in Washington and Oregon.
