Panasonic and Jetstream partner to deliver a broadband telephone

Staff

Panasonic and Jetstream Communications are partnering to deliver a Broadband Telephone for integrated consumer communications services. Pooling of technical and marketing resources will result in a new class of product with ease of use, installation, and integrated voice and data services functionality.

"Service providers are clamoring to leverage emerging broadband networks to deliver a complete suite of communications applications," says S. "Sundi" Sundaresh, president/CEO of Jetstream.

Without the need for new wiring, telecommuters and home businesses can use integrated communications services over a DSL line. The Broadband Telephone is a compact, multi-line cordless phone system and high-speed Internet communications hub in one. It can be installed by consumers, with complete plug-and-play voice and data service, and offers one-button access to any phone line on the cordless handset, which is included.
