ADC + BAS a done deal
ADC has completed its $2.25 billion acquisition of Broadband Access Systems after issuing about 66 million shares (including converted stock options) to close the transaction, which was announced Sept. 20. ADC's acquisition of BAS provides ADC with "next-generation carrier-class" IP platform and a suite of network management and subscriber management software.
BAS' CudaTM CMTS, combined with ADC's bundles of fiber optics, network equipment, software and integration services, will enable communications service providers worldwide to provide high-speed Internet access and high-capacity voice-over-IP.
