SeaChange promotes Patibanda to CTO
SeaChange International has promoted Shiva Patibanda to senior vice president and chief technology officer, newly created positions.
Patibanda had been general manager of SeaChange's Silicon Valley-based In-Home business, and will continue to do so, the company said. That operation is responsible for the creation and delivery of the SeaChange Nucleus video gateway software.
founded VividLogic in 1999. That company specialized in embedded software for television set-top boxes and other consumer electronics. SeaChange acquired VividLogic in 2010; it provided the foundation for the In-Home business.
Patibanda has served as chairman of the Home Audio Video Interoperability consortium and also served on the board of the IEEE 1394 Trade Association.
