TiVo has notched another customer win by announcing a deal with WaveDivision Holdings, which offers triple play services through its Wave Broadband and Astound brands.

WaveDivision is going all in with TiVo on a co-branded version of its whole-home DVR platform, which is slated to go live mid-year. Using TiVo’s cloud-based service, Wave Broadband and Astound subscribers will be able to use TiVo’s six-tuner T6-HD DVR gateway coupled with TiVo Mini boxes for viewing in secondary rooms. WaveDivision also signed up to use TiVo’s digital transport adapters (DTAs) and enable TV Everywhere type services through TiVo Web, iOS and Android mobile apps.

“We are excited to be working with TiVo to bring our customers access to more content choices and a superior, more personalized viewing experience on all screens in and out of the home,” said Wave CEO Steve Weed. “Through this partnership with TiVo, we will bring a new standard of viewing experience to our key markets, while providing an optimized combination of all the great Wave and Astound content available now, plus access to new broadband content. We are confident that in return, our business will reap the benefits of improved subscriber satisfaction.”

The slate of TiVo products will be available as a primary offering to all of Wave’s 415,000 residential and business customers including Wave Broadband subscribers in Washington, Oregon and California, and Astound customers in the San Francisco Bay area, specifically San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, Burlingame, San Mateo, Redwood City, Walnut Creek, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, and Concord.

Last month RCN became the first cable operator to offer the Opera TV Store to its subscribers through their TiVo boxes. The same month TiVo struck its first DTA deal with a cable operator when it reached an agreement with Vyve Broadband

In January, TiVo announced that it was buying search and recommendation vendor Digitalsmiths for $135 million in cash

TiVo also has deals in place with Atlantic Broadband, Blue Ridge Communications, Cable One, Com Hen, Ono, Suddenlink Communications, Mediacom Communications, Midcontinent Communications, GCI, Virgin Media, and Grande Communications.
