Starting today, subscribers of Sweden’s Com Hem can access Netflix content via an app on their set-top boxes.
According to Broadband TV, Netflix is available to Com Hem users that have TiVo boxes in their homes. The deal is similar to the one that Virgin Media, Netflix and TiVo cooked up late last year.
After logging in with their Netflix credentials, Com Hem customers will be able to search and browse titles across Netflix’s entire collection of films and TV programs as well as from Com Hem’s own video library.
“The new Netflix app complements and further strengthens our current content offering. We want the customer to be able to access any content they want to watch in one single place, regardless of source. As a TiVo user you now easily can search and browse across all of Netflix’s acclaimed line up, together with all the other great content available through Com Hem. This adds up to thousands and thousands of titles, meaning you can find practically anything you would like to watch through your TiVo”, said Asanga Gunatillaka, chief product officer at Com Hem, in the Broadband TV story.
Com Hem launched the TiVo boxes in September and said then that it would provision the Netflix app on those boxes.
