Cablevision hires Comstock as EVP of operations
Cablevision has hired Robert Comstock to the newly created position of executive vice president, operations.
Effective immediately, Cablevision said Comstock is responsible for all aspects of infrastructure that support the delivery of Cablevision’s customer experience, including network management, field operations, outside plant, Wi-Fi execution, and telecommunications network management.
Comstock oversees the customer service and field organizations for the company’s triple play products and services. He reports to Kristin Dolan, president, Optimum Services.

Rob’s expertise will help Cablevision deliver on its primary goal of providing our customers with the outstanding product and service experience that they deserve and expect.”
Prior to joining Cablevision, Comstock spent nearly a decade at Direct Energy, which is an energy and energy-related services provider. Recently, he served as senior vice president and general manager of Direct Energy’s U.S. residential retail energy business/
He also played a key role in facilitating several of Direct Energy’s acquisitions, helping to establish the company as the largest residential deregulated energy and service company in North America. Before Direct Energy, Comstock held numerous operations and general management at The New Power Company, Sunoco Inc., and Hess Corporation.
