BeIN Sports kicks off with Cox
Cox Communications is the latest cable operator to sign up to carry international sports programming from beIN Sports.
Starting today, Cox subscribers in Northern Virginia can tune in to beIN Sport and beIN Sport en Espanol. Later this month, the TV Everywhere live event broadband service, beIN Sport Play, will be available to Cox’s authenticated subscribers.
"BeIN Sport is not only the exclusive home to the biggest international games, it also brings the best sportscasters in the business," said Betty Jo Roberts, vice president of marketing for Cox Communications Virginia. "We pride ourselves in offering variety to our customers and this new addition enhances the exciting lineup offered only by Cox."
BeIN Sport and beIN Sport en Espanol are available to customers subscribing to El Mix, the Latino Pak and/or the Sports & Info Pak video tiers.
With beIN Sport and beIN Sport en Espanol, Cox customers will have access to several international soccer leagues, including La Liga and Ligue 1. The networks also feature CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying matches, Copa America, the Copa del Rey, the U.K.'s Football League, Six Nations Rugby, tennis, boxing and other international sport competitions.
Owned by the Al-Jazeera Sport Media Network, beIN Sport was initially carried by DirecTV and Dish Network, but has since added Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks.
