Blue Ridge Communications is the latest operator to go exclusively with TiVo for its whole-home, multi-screen service.

Blue Ridge intends to begin initial deployment in early 2014, TiVo said.

Blue Ridge will use TiVo’s T6 DVR, a model with six tuners. It will also rely on TiVo's cloud-based service, HD set-top boxes for non-DVR households (TiVo Preview), as well as the TiVo Mini, the TiVo Stream, a TiVo web portal, and TiVo mobile applications for iOS and Android mobile devices.

Atlantic Broadband, now part of Cogeco, was the first operator to opt for TiVo’s T6 for whole-home service.

Blue Ridge’s vice president of operations Mark Masenheimer said, "We made a decision to leverage the expertise of a third party to meet our subscribers' needs and it was clear that TiVo… was really the only service that could deliver on every demand that our customers have now come to expect.”

Blue Ridge joins a run of companies using some combination of TiVo products and services, including Cable One, Atlantic Broadband, Mediacom, RCN, Grande Communications, GCI, and Midcontinent. The company also has supply deals with Comcast, Charter Communications, and Virgin Media.

Blue Ridge Communications serves northeastern and southeastern Pennsylvania. Asubsidiary of Pencor Services, the company offers advanced services including digital cable with on demand, DVR, HDTV, high speed internet, digital phone and home security.
