It’s Showtime for TWC, BHN’s authenticated subs

Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks are serving up Showtime Network’s authenticated TV Everywhere service, Showtime Anytime, to their subscribers for free.

Per the usual, the cable operator customers need to be subscribers of Showtime in order to gain access to the multi-screen content, which is available across computers, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets or Kindle Fire devices anywhere across the nation.  Financial terms weren’t released.

Viewers can tap into to “hundreds” of hours of Showtime’s programming, as well as the live broadcast of both the East and West Coast feeds

"We're excited to be able to add Showtime Anytime to our growing TV Everywhere offering," said Mike Angus, senior vice president and general manager, video for Time Warner Cable. "Our customers now have easy access to their favorite Showtime programs anytime, anywhere."

Showtime programs include “Dexter, “Homeland,” “House of Lies,” “Ray Donovan,” and “Californication.”

“We are very pleased to have Time Warner Cable come onboard as a Showtime Anytime partner,” said Tom Christie, president, distribution, business development, and network operations for Showtime Networks.  “This is a significant milestone in our efforts to make Showtime Anytime available to 100 percent of the multi-channel video universe.”  

Viewers can access the video content via the Showtime Anytime web portal, or by downloading the app from iTunes, Google Play or Amazon. Customers can authenticate their Showtime subscriptions by signing in with their Time Warner Cable username and password, make their viewing selection and then start watching.
