Arris, Seawell combo on multi-screen ad delivery
Arris Group and SeaWell Networks have collaborated on an advertising solution for multiscreen that integrates the former’s SkyVision ad insertion platform and the latter’s IP session delivery controller.
The solution enables the delivery of localized, session-oriented ads and programming at the home network level. The two companies said the system provides “unprecedented control and customization.”
The combined systems together perform efficient and dynamic format repackaging; per-session content management and analytics; zone-based, localized and targeted ad insertion; and blackout management and program substitution.
The approach supports all major adaptive bit rate (ABR) protocols, the two companies said.
Arris also said its SkyVision ad insertion management platform will soon be available with SeaWell’s Spectrum software, enabling control, management, and monetization of multiscreen services.
