Comcast Hometown Network (CHN), which is Comcast's regional cable network covering Northern and Central California, announced this morning that it would televise 23 high school football games this season starting on Saturday.

CHN, which is separate from Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and Comcast SportsNet California, is entering its fifth season of area high school football coverage. The programming is available to Comcast’s digital cable subscribers.

"Northern and Central California prep football continues to be electric, and we continue to provide it to viewers and further solidify Comcast Hometown Network as the television home for high school sports," said Jeff Giles, General Manager of Comcast Hometown Network.  "These exciting, marquee contests remain a key component of our local and regional programming that viewers can't get anywhere else."

In addition to Granite Bay and Folsom, CHN's high school football schedule features many of the top prep teams in Northern and Central California, including perennial powers De La Salle, Bellarmine, Cardinal Newman (Santa Rosa), Del Oro, Serra, Valley Christian and Monte Vista.

The "Xfinity High School Sports" prep contests will premiere on Comcast Hometown Network and then be replayed several times. In addition, all of the games will be available for viewing via Comcast’s VOD platform.
