Christy Martin has joined ThinkAnalytics as chief technical advisor.

Martin, the founder of iBox, is perhaps best known for having been in charge of solutions engineering at Canoe Ventures.

At ThinkAnalytics, Martin will be responsible for working with service provider customers on solutions architecture and system integration work, in addition to advising on product strategy. She will report to Peter Docherty, founder and chief technology officer of ThinkAnalytics.

Martin is founder and principal of iBox Systems, a technology services firm, where she develops product strategies and architectures, and leads multi-stakeholder integrations for cable television operators, programmers and technology vendors.

She previously served as principal architect and VP of solutions engineering for Canoe Ventures, specifying process workflows, requirements, architecture, interfaces and system test plans. Her work culminated in the launch of Canoe’s interactive Request For Information application that was delivered within cable network advertisements

Prior to Canoe, Christy was vice president, strategy and technology at Thomson (now Technicolor) and chief architect at Canal+ Technologies. At Canal+ she developed MediaHighway Java/DVB-MHP compliant set-top box middleware and interactive TV applications.

“Christy is known for her ability to synthesize market, technology and operational requirements into concise and commercially successful products,” said Michael Pohl, member of the corporate board of directors and strategic director for marketing and business development of Americas at ThinkAnalytics. “We look forward to leveraging her deep understanding of legacy and next generation television systems to architect and integrate next-gen recommendations solutions for our service provider customers and partners.”

Docherty said, “Christy’s expertise in architecting and deploying interactive media solutions will help us as we continue to deliver robust multiplatform recommendations to service providers around the world that take advantage of the latest in voice and other emerging navigation technologies.”
