Synnex joins Comcast Business Solutions Provider Program

Comcast Business announced that Synnex, a nationwide distributor of IT products and services, has joined its Solutions Providers Program as the first distributor to serve as a master agent.

Synnex, which serves thousands of value added resellers (VARs) across the country, offers Comcast Business’ full line of Ethernet, Internet, voice, cloud and video services. Synnex said the Comcast Business services were a key part of its mobility, communications and networking services distribution practice, MobilitySolv, that complement the cloud application services Synnex VARs were already offering to their customers to provide a pathway to the cloud.

"We are very excited about the relationship with Comcast Business, a key platform of fixed line service offerings in our MobilitySolv strategy," said Kevin Murai, president and chief executive officer, Synnex Corporation. "Comcast’s large national footprint of connectivity solutions along with their hosted voice and video solutions provide a natural complement to the needs of SYNNEX customers. By offering these services, our VARs can now provide a singular source to the end user – a true differentiator which allows them to grow their recurring revenues at an accelerated pace."

With MobilitySolv, Synnex can create “solution bundles” that combine network connectivity services from Comcast Business with other Synnex offerings, such as local area network (LAN) switches and routers, servers, security products, storage equipment and mobility products.

The solution bundles include Comcast’s full line of Ethernet, Internet, voice, cloud and TV services. The resulting solution bundles will enable Synnex VARs to build end-to-end mobility and cloud communications platforms for their customers, from small-to-medium businesses to the enterprise.

With its own sales and support staff, Synnex said it could work with VARs located throughout the Comcast footprint, which covers 39 states and the District of Columbia, and includes 20 of the top 25 metropolitan markets in the nation.

"VAR partners are selling network connectivity services in greater numbers than at any time in history due to the rapid adoption of cloud services by small and medium sized businesses," said Terry Connell, senior vice president of sales at Comcast Business. "Synnex has an impressive reach into this community and the dedicated networking practice that they have built to support Comcast Business will be able to support a large number of VARs and their end-user customers in the Comcast national footprint."
