The college football season kicks off this week and most of Charter Communications’ subscribers will now be able to keep track of the all the action with ESPN Goal Line.

Authenticated Charter customers that subscribe to the cable operator’s Sports Tier and Digi Tier 2 packages can access ESPN Goal Line, as well as ESPN Buzzer Beater when the college hoops season tips off, in HD. A spokeswoman for Charter said that Goal Line and Buzzer Beater weren't yet available in the former Bresnan systems that Charter purchased from Cablevison earlier this year.

ESPN Goal Line keeps college football fans apprised of the action by switching from game to game with live look-ins, highlights and a chance to see every important play. Up-to-the-minute commentary is included from ESPN analysts and experts.

Like Goal Line, ESPN Buzzer Beater whips around college basketball contests with live views during each Wednesday and Saturday of the college basketball season, along with commentary from ESPN personalities.

Both ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater are part of WatchESPN, which serves up live streaming sports programming. Charter customers can access the live sports programming and shows from the entire ESPN network offering on their TV, computer, smart phone, tablet or Xbox 360.

Charter, the nation’s fourth-largest cable operator, and Disney renewed their distribution agreement in January, which included more TV Everywhere services.
