Consolidated Communications converges on NetCracker OSS
Consolidated Communications has selected NetCracker’s OSS Solution to replace a set of legacy systems so that it can streamline its service fulfillment processes.
Consolidated Communications, founded more than a century ago, is a family of companies using IP networks to provide communications services to both residential and business customers in California, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Texas and Pennsylvania. Services include local and long distance telephone, high-speed Internet access and Digital TV.
The company will shift operations to NetCracker’s Resource Management and Service Fulfillment as it retires some legacy systems and consolidates others. Doing so will allow Consolidated Communications to automate processes and improve its ability to launch new services and products, the vendor said.
“We had very specific reasons in mind when we selected NetCracker,” said Chris Smith, director, network tools and automations at Consolidated Communications. “We needed a scalable, world-class technology platform from a strategic partner who has a track record for successfully implementing programs that allow companies like Consolidated Communications to dramatically improve efficiencies while building a foundation for ongoing growth.”
NetCracker Technology is a subsidiary of NEC Corp. A partial customer list includes Alltel, Bright House Networks, Cox Communications, Centurylink, Dish Network, Shaw, and Videotron.
