Former AOL exec replaces Esteves as TWC’s CFO
Time Warner Cable announced yesterday afternoon that former AOL executive Arthur Minson will replace Irene Esteves as the company’s chief financial officer.
Minson, who formerly worked at Time Warner Cable, will start his new job on Thursday while Esteves’ last day is tomorrow. Minson, who was also named as an executive vice president, reports to Time Warner Cable chairman and CEO Glenn Britt.
“We’re delighted to welcome Artie back to Time Warner Cable,” Mr. Britt said. “His deep knowledge of the cable industry, the broad experience he gained at AOL as CFO and COO, and his outstanding reputation in the financial community make him a great addition to our management team.”
Minson rejoined Time Warner Cable after serving as chief operating officer and chief financial and administrative officer, among other managerial positions, at AOL.
Minson joined Time Warner Cable in 2006 as senior vice resident of finance and became executive vice president and deputy CFO in 2007. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, corporate finance and development at AOL, where he was responsible for financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions and corporate financial administration.
He's also held senior finance positions at AMC Networks (formerly Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc.) and Time Warner Inc.
According to a filing by Time Warner Cable, Minson is slated to earn an annual base salary of $900,000 and a cash bonus with a target amount of $1.35 million that will be prorated for this year. Minson is also in line for a $500,000 signing bonus and a special equity award, which will be granted on May 31, of $2 million.
