Comcast Business Services has upped Michelle Pluskota to vice president of business services in its Heartland Region, which includes commercial customers in Michigan, Indiana, Arkansas and Kentucky.
In her new job, Pluskota is responsible for building and executing the strategies for Business Services to continue growing small-to-medium business (SMB) and enterprise sales. She also oversees Business Services marketing, operations and financial performance. Pluskota reports to Tim Collins, senior vice president for Comcast’s Heartland Region.
"We are continuing to experience record growth both from an Ethernet and SMB perspective, due in large measure to the strong leadership team we’ve put in place throughout the organization,” Collins said. "With more than 15 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry and a record of impressive sales leadership, Michelle brings enormous value to the Comcast team and to our customers in Heartland Region."
"Ethernet services have been growing contributors to Comcast’s bottom line ever since they were launched in 2011. In its more recent fourth quarter, Comcast reported that business services revenue increased by 37 percent.
Previously, Pluskota was director of enterprise sales for Comcast Business Services as well as interim vice president of Business Services in the company’s Greater Chicago Region. Prior to joining Comcast, she served as vice president of sales and marketing at IPiphany, an Illinois-based company, where she helped build sales teams in Chicago and Dallas. Her resume also includes stints at Level 3 Communications, Broadwing Communications and McLeod USA.
