Time Warner Cable ups Leddy to EVP of corporate strategy

Kevin LeddyTime Warner Cable has named Kevin Leddy as its new executive vice president of corporate strategy. In his new role, Leddy reports to Peter Stern, executive vice president and chief strategy, people and corporate development officer.

Leddy was previously Time Warner Cable’s executive vice president of technology policy and product management. Leddy still retains responsibility for Time Warner Cable’s technology policy and strategy but now has assumed additional responsibility for enterprise-wide business strategy.

“Time Warner Cable’s strategy relies on matching technology with our customers’ needs so we can give customers control in ways that are simple and easy. Kevin is an experienced, accomplished and acknowledged leader in technology, marketing, product management and strategy. He is the ideal person to lead overall strategy for Time Warner Cable,” Stern said.

Added Mike LaJoie, executive vice president and chief technology officer for TWC: “Kevin has made a lasting impact on TWC’s technology, including digital applications, video-on-demand and DVRs. As he assumes additional accountability for business strategy, I look forward to continuing working with him as he helps navigate the company through the strategic opportunities and challenges of the communications marketplace.”

Leddy joined the company (then Warner Amex Cable) in 1980 and held various positions before becoming chief marketing officer in 1990. In 1999, he moved into product management and strategic planning. Before joining Time Warner Cable, he worked at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA).
