SCTE issues calls for papers for next year’s SEMI Forum
Today, the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers announced it was seeking proposals for presentations at its SEMI (Smart Energy Management Initiative) Forum 2013.
The SEMI conference is part of the SCTE’s ongoing “green” effort to become more energy-efficient. The conference topics include energy management for reduced costs and increased efficiency; power availability related to business services; disaster preparedness and recovery; and density, reliability and cost structure. Upper- and mid-level managers who are responsible for operations and power will be in attendance at the conference, which is slated for April 10.
The SEMI Forum 2013 call for papers can be found online. The deadline for proposals is Nov. 16. Interested presenters should submit to firstname.lastname@example.org a one-page abstract (300 words maximum), with the name of author/presenter, company, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers and email address. Selected participants should expect to complete a PowerPoint presentation and supporting paper (where applicable) for the event.
