Former Motorola exec joins Procera Networks’ board
Deep packet inspection vendor Procera Networks announced today that former Motorola executive Alan Lefkof was elected to its board of directors. Lefkof joined Procera’s board Aug. 27.
Lefkof’s telecommunications experience includes a stint as corporate vice president and general manager at Motorola, and then at its spinoff, Motorola Mobility Holdings, where he led the Broadband Solutions Group from 2007 through 2010 and then the Software Solutions Group until February.
Prior to Motorola, he served as a director and as president and chief executive officer of Netopia, a developer of broadband networking equipment and carrier-class software for the remote management of broadband services until its acquisition by Motorola in February 2007.
"We welcome Alan to Procera's board of directors," said James Brear, president and CEO of Procera Networks. "His market expertise in carrier-grade broadband solutions and networking, and his strong business acumen and overall leadership, will be valuable assets to leverage as we continue to grow our business."
Prior to Netopia, Lefkof served as president of Farallon Communications, a local area networking company. He was also president of the GRiD Division of Tandy Corp., where he led the enterprise division for personal computers and laptops.
