Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) announced this morning that FCC commissioner Mignon Clyburn would deliver the keynote address for its Touchstones Luncheon.
The luncheon is part of the WICT Leadership Conference that takes place in New York City Sept. 10-11. We tv president and general manager Kim Martin was named honorary chair of the Touchstones Luncheon. WICT said that We tv was a premier sponsor of the event. WICT’s Diversity Week, which will also be in New York City, will take place Sept. 10-14.
"WICT is delighted to welcome commissioner Clyburn to our Touchstones Luncheon," said Cox's vice president of content acquisition Kathy Payne, WICT's 2012 board chair and chair of the WICT Leadership Conference. "Commissioner Clyburn's dedication to public service, alongside her commitment to diversity and inclusion, are well known, and we're looking forward to her participation in this event."
The WICT Touchstones Luncheon will also honor its 2012 Woman of the Year, which is Carol Hevey, executive vice president of the East Region at Time Warner Cable, as well as two Woman to Watch honorees: Jennifer Hightower, senior vice president of law and policy for Cox Communications, and We tv's Jennifer Robertson, senior vice president of digital media and business development.
