Cable Bahamas has tabbed UXP Systems’ Multiscreen Interaction (MINT) Platform for an upcoming market trial on personalized, multi-screen video, voice and messaging services.

"We continue to serve our customers with the most advanced technology and offerings in the Bahamas, and that is a key pillar of our market leadership," said David Burrows, head of marketing and product development for Cable Bahamas. "UXP Systems' MINT Platform gives us a unified foundation to extend our entertainment and communications offerings across all screens, in a seamless, authenticated and personalized way."

The MINT Platform works with existing operator IT and network services to seamlessly orchestrate, unify and personalize various operator services across smartphones, tablets and PCs.

The MINT system is compatible with legacy back office equipment to enable multi-screen bundles; multi-screen home calls to various devices, including tablets; and a personalization system that focuses on the individual, and not the collective household.

“This is another important validation for us that new business models require aggregation, authentication and orchestration capabilities that can bring together content, metadata, social media and blended services around individual users,” said Gemini Waghmare, CEO of UXP. “UXP Systems’ MINT Platform provides operators with these capabilities, ensuring the success of new business and service models like over-the-top video and TV Everywhere. We’re very pleased to have Cable Bahamas as a customer in this first phase of a production market trial.”

At The Cable Show in May, UXP’s MINT Platform was picked as one of the winners of the CIO.IT innovation award.
