Women in Cable Telecommunications today named Carol Hevey, executive vice president of the East Region at Time Warner Cable, as the recipient of its 2012 Woman of the Year award.
WICT also announced today the 2012 Woman to Watch honorees: Jennifer Hightower, senior vice president of law and policy at Cox Communications, and Jennifer Robertson, senior vice president of digital media and business development at WE tv.
The Woman of the Year award is awarded to a woman in cable media who has made increasingly significant contributions to her company and the overall cable telecommunications industry throughout her career. She is at the top and shows great resolve to help others along their path.
The Woman to Watch award is bestowed upon a woman in cable who shows tremendous promise for transforming the industry through her professional accomplishments. She has already demonstrated exemplary leadership skills, as well as a strong dedication to the industry and her organization.
The awards will be presented during the WICT Touchstones Luncheon on Sept. 10 at the Hilton New York, in conjunction with the annual WICT Leadership Conference, during Cable's Diversity Week. The WICT Touchstones Luncheon is sponsored by WE tv.
