Arris takes minority interest in Rev2
Arris Group has taken a minority interest in Rev2, a company that specializes in business risk analytics. Neither company provided any information on the size or value of the investment.
Rev2 simultaneously announced the promotion of chief technology officer Robert Cruickshank III to chief executive officer. For the near term, Cruickshank will serve as both CEO and CTO.
Arris and Rev2 announced at The Cable Show two weeks ago that they had integrated the former’s WorkAssure and ServAssure products with the latter’s RiskView. The two agreed to co-market the joint software solution to global cable service providers.
The integrated products, the two companies said, enhance existing operator analytics while providing additional metrics such as call center logs, truck rolls, maintenance work orders, etc. As an example, ServAssure makes detailed hourly measurements of the number of CPE in trouble on every upstream and downstream port and then feeds these values into RiskView for problem correlation, risk scoring and prioritization.
Similarly, WorkAssure feeds RiskView with detailed records of all service truck rolls, from origination of work through final disposition, including disconnects and referrals to HFC maintenance, the companies said.
“The Arris Group’s co-marketing commitment will help us expand the scope of RiskView and continue our market momentum,” Cruickshank said. “We are thrilled to have Arris on board as a strategic investor and are looking forward to working with them to help our mutual customers proactively optimize their operations while they reduce costs and complexity.”
“I am excited by the opportunity ahead of us here at Rev2,” Cruickshank said. “We will continue to listen to our customers as we execute on our proven growth strategies in our core service provider and enterprise vertical markets.”
