Likewise, its creditors extended its due date and IDT picked up 33.7 percent interest in the company from Liberty Media. Corning profits up; outlook down

Sales of $1.9 billion were up 26 percent, after acquisition costs, and optical fiber volume grew by 25 percent, Corning reports.

Alcatel bids on Lucent's optical unit
