The halted purchase leaves NetRatings' $16.4 million purchase of the 84 percent interest in ACNielsen eRatings.com that it doesn't own yet, up in the air.

The cartel had sent Liberty a formal statement of objections to the company's proposed $4.76 billion purchase of six regional cable TV stations from Deutsche Telekom.

The figure is tied to sales of DSL modems, data-only routers and voice-and-data routers. "Unit shipments were actually up sequentially," said Dell'Oro Group Industry Analyst Paul Baranello.
