Twin Lakes Telephone selects Entone’s managed TV system
Entone announced that Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative will use the vendor’s FusionTV system to provide a unified set of video services for its customers.
Entone’s FusionTV is a managed service platform that combines traditional pay-TV service with over-the-top (OTT) services, all delivered as an operator-branded service with a single user interface. The combination of services includes live HDTV, digital video recorder (DVR) and cloud services.
“Our customers rely on us to provide them with personalized and reliable telecommunications services,” said Jonathan West, general manager and CEO of Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative. “With Entone’s FusionTV solution, we can leverage our existing network to offer the best of HDTV and online services without the capital and operating costs associated with traditional pay-TV service. By offering OTT, not only can we monetize our broadband network, but we continue to strengthen our relationship with our customers.”
Twin Lakes Telephone is a cooperative with more than 30,000 members, all in rural areas of Tennessee.
With a software update to the system, Twin Lakes Telephone could enable its subscribers to access a variety of Web-based services, including Vudu, Flickr, Picasa, Facebook and Twitter.
FusionTV is fully integrated with leading IPTV middleware and digital rights management (DRM) solutions.
