Kanouff joins Cablevision as an EVP
Former SeaChange executive Yvette Kanouff has landed at Cablevision, taking a job as executive vice president of engineering and software design, effective immediately.
Kanouff will drive the implementation of the company’s strategic technology goals and play a critical role in the development of new consumer-facing technologies and the facilitation of their entry into the market for Cablevision’s customers, according to the company.
Kanouff will report to both Wilt Hildenbrand, senior advisor of engineering and technology, and James Blackley, executive vice president of corporate engineering and technology.
Hildebrand and Blackley both put their names to the following quote: “Yvette is a skilled and well-regarded executive who will help deliver Cablevision’s next-generation technologies to our customers across a wide variety of platforms. She is no stranger to our business, as Yvette has been the driving force behind many of the industry’s most important technological advances. Her expertise will help to ensure that Cablevision remains well-positioned as an industry leader in a competitive marketplace.”
At SeaChange International, Kanouff held a succession of executive titles, culminating in the president’s office. She spearheaded the transition of SeaChange from a hardware company to a software company, while helping to move the industry toward Web-centric, open standards-based solutions and architectures.
Prior to joining SeaChange in 1997, Kanouff served as Time Warner Cable’s director of interactive technologies, where she was responsible for managing technical departments, including system integration, software quality, advanced network technologies and system software for the world’s first digital interactive television and video-on-demand launch.
