Ex-SeaChange CEO joins Casa Systems' board
Retired SeaChange International CEO Bill Styslinger has accepted a position on the board of directors of Casa Systems.
Styslinger has been an investor in Casa since 2005. Referring to his relationship with the company, he said: "I have seen it grow from a start-up to a mature company that has seen many successes. I am very pleased to join Casa's board, and along with the other directors, help Casa leverage its achievements and it its technology to realize its full potential."
Casa Systems has designed CMTSs, universal edge QAMs and video processing systems. It continues to stake a claim to being the industry's only vendor with full DOCSIS 3.0 and PacketCable 1.5 qualification.
"Bill Styslinger is well known in the cable industry as a strong business leader and visionary," said Jerry Guo, founder, president and CEO of Casa Systems. "His broad range of experience taking a company from inception to the public markets will be very valuable to Casa Systems moving forward."
Prior to founding SeaChange, Styslinger held a number of management positions at Digital Equipment Corp., including manager of its cable business unit, which in the early '90s provided the cable industry with the technology that validated the potential of cable modem-based services.
