Clearleap hires Van Orden as product marketing VP
Clearleap said it has hired television technology industry veteran Bob Van Orden as the company's new vice president of product marketing.
Prior to joining Clearleap, Van Orden worked at Cisco Systems, where he held various positions, including general manager of the IPTV middleware business unit.
Van Orden also served at Scientific Atlanta (SA) at the time it was acquired by Cisco. During his tenure at the company, he served in senior management roles responsible for product strategy, business development and marketing. He was a founding member of the team at SA that launched the company's first digital set-top receiver, as well as one of the cable industry's first digital video recorders. Prior to joining Scientific Atlanta, Van Orden served as business development manager with Ameritech Corp. in Chicago (now part of AT&T).
At Clearleap, Van Orden is responsible for all of the company's product marketing and strategy efforts, reporting directly to CEO Braxton Jarratt.
"Bob has a great track record of bringing products to the video marketplace and knows how to work with the industry to solve problems and create new revenue opportunities," said Jarratt. "With his deep knowledge of IPTV and cloud technologies, Bob is going to help take our product team and cloud platform to the next level."
